The European Union's rotating presidency practice was used for The Salzburg Forum (SF).
Individual member states take turns in the presidential role in six-month intervals, according to the alphabetical order of country names in English.
Currently the SF is chaired by Poland with Hungary and Romania in so-called trio presidency. These three countries have a joint eighteen-month work programme.
