Awards for young Kosovar artists, participants of the International Children's Art Competition Lidice 2023

On 21 February 2024, the Czech Ambassador to Kosovo, Bohumil Mazánek, awarded honorary diplomas to two young Kosovar students/painters for their art works entered in the 51st International Children's Art Competition Lidice 2023. 16,416 young artists from 83 countries from all over the world participated in the Lidice 2023 Art Competition and the jury awarded 1,354 prizes.

The Czech Embassy in Pristina is proud that Kosovar children were also successful.

The authors of the paintings of the dancers Alina Bajrami and Orgesa Hasani from the Esat Berisha School in Llashtica, Kosovo, received honorary diplomas from the Ambassador in the presence of their parents, teachers and the school principal. During the ceremony, there was also time for a friendly discussion between the invitees and the Embassy staff about art, education and history. The successful artworks were exhibited in the Czech Gallery in Lidice.

The attendance, including the awarding of two Kosovar painters, demonstrates the continued interest of Kosovar children and students in cultural and artistic exchanges with the Czech Republic. At the ceremony, the school headmaster expressed pride in the success of his students and was very pleased with their enthusiasm for creative activity. His school will continue to be actively involved in the competition in future years.
