HIGHLY QUALIFIED WORKER PROGRAMME

The Programme is not territorially limited and applies to employees from all the third countries. In case of application for visa for a stay of over 90 days for business purpose and employe card apllication is set a quota by the government regulation for selected countries.

The Programme is intended for:

• intra-corporate transferred employees  occupying the positions of managers and specialists or newly hired employees occupying the job positions classified according to the updated CZ-ISCO Classification of Occupations into the main classes 1 – 3, in manufacturing industry, services or the public sector;
• employers operating in the Czech Republic for at least 2 years, without any due commitments to the state (no tax arrears, no arrears in respect of payments and penalties to public health insurance fund) and who employ or employed at least 3 persons for at least 3 consecutive months in the period of 2 years prior to the application submission date.

The employees included to the Programme are granted:

• an opportunity to submit their visa application at the Representative Office of the Czech Republic abroad. The same opportunity is given to their closest family members;          
• simplification of administrative procedures connected with admission of their visa application.

Applications for admission to the Programme are assessed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Applications for admission to the Programme need to be sent to the following e-mail address: vysocekvalifikovani@mpo.cz. Applications for admission to the Programme related to the medical workers are assessed by the Ministry of Health. Applications for admission to the Programme need to be sent to the following e-mail address: programzdravotnictvi@mzcr.cz.

There is no legal entitlement for the admission to the Programme.
